About the event
Join Bishop Bill McAlilly and the TWK Black Methodists for Church Renewal for the first Summit on the Black Church. Saturday, April 22, from 10 AM — 5 PM at Scarritt Bennett Center (1027 18th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37212). Register your congregation online at https://bit.ly/twksummit23. The summit will offer Black United Methodist Churches in the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference tools for community and congregational development, resources to navigate community trauma, and frameworks for leadership development. All clergy leading African American Congregations are strongly encouraged to attend and bring a layperson.
Registration cost is $25 per participant. Each congregation is invited to be represented by their pastor and at least one layperson. We are limiting participation to no more than 7 individuals per congregation. If money is a stumbling block the pastor of the congregation should email Rev. Jefferson M. Furtado and copy their district superintendent.
